NWFP to set up fund to help terror-affected families
PESHAWAR -- The North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) provincial government has set up an institute and a trust fund to help support families affected by terror, the Daily Times reported February 5.
The institute will survey citizens to calculate the number of deaths and property losses that occurred during clashes with militants, while affected families will receive compensation from a trust fund, the newspaper reported. The provincial government will match the Rs. 50m (US$595,238) already committed by the federal government to the trust, the newspaper added.
