Kyrgyz national security officers convicted of aiding detainees’ escape

BISHKEK – Two former officers of the Kyrgyz national security service received ten- and 11-year prison sentences for helping three suspected members of the banned Islamic Jihad Union escape from jail in November 2009, lenta.ru reported March 9.


The court found them guilty of giving the detainees the keys to the jail.
