LAHORE -- At least five people, including three policemen, were killed and six others were injured May 31 when four armed men attacked the intensive care unit of a Lahore hospital, news media reported June 1.

The attackers, armed with AK-47s and wearing police uniforms, came in a van bearing a fake government registration number, Dawn reported. They fired indiscriminately at police and medics.

The four attackers tried to kill Muaz, a suspect wounded during the May 28 massacres at various Ahmadi worship places, according to CCTV footage broadcast by Dunya News. Police thwarted the attempt to kill him by turning off the lights.

Police said they have moved Muaz to the Kot Lakhpat Hospital, Lahore, Jang reported.
