Karachi gambling den blast kills 19, injures 40

KARACHI – At least 19 people were killed and more than 40 wounded as an explosion ripped through an illegal gambling den in the Lyari area of Karachi April 21, media reported.
A timed device containing 2kg of explosives was planted under a table in the club, according to the Bomb Disposal Unit.
The gambling den is in Zahid Arcade, a densely populated Lyari neighbourhood. Police suspected a gang war as the motive for the bombing, media reported.
