ASTANA – Kazakhstan might send troops to Afghanistan, CA-NEWS.org reported May 18.
The Mazhilis, parliament’s lower chamber, voted to ratify an agreement between Kazakhstan and the international coalition on Kazakhstani participation in securing Afghanistan.
If the Kazakhstani senate and the international coalition both ratify the agreement, a Kazakhstani contingent would serve up to six months in Afghanistan.
