PESHAWAR – Authorities have ordered a red alert and beefed up security in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the May 22-23 attack on the Mehran naval base in Karachi, Capital City Police Officer Liaqat Ali Khan said.
Authorities are mindful of possible terrorist attacks, he said. Terrorists warned they would attack Pakistani security forces after the death of Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad May 2.
