PESHAWAR – The UK Department for International Development (DFID) is helping the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government to develop primary- and secondary-level educational infrastructure, KP Education Minister Sardar Hussain Babak said.
"The DFID has given us a grant of Rs. 700m [US $7.4m] that will be spent on upgrading the learning and other facilities in school,” he said. The government is committed to rebuilding Taliban-damaged schools and to encouraging enrolment in primary and secondary schools.
