Turkmens commission fish-farming plant

ASHGABAT – Construction began July 1 on a fish-breeding and -processing complex in Ak Bugdai District, Akhal Oblast, Turkmenistan.ru reported July 2. The State Committee for Fisheries commissioned the plant, which is projected to produce 50 tonnes of fish annually.
Besides fish-breeding ponds, the complex will include facilities for producing smoked, frozen, filleted and other processed fish, Turkmenistan.ru reported.
Turkmenistan recently approved a plan for developing fisheries to 2030, Trend.az reported.
