Peshawar police recover 2 missing officers

PESHAWAR – Police have recovered two police officers who had gone missing after the killing of anti-militant lashkar chief Mohammad Faheem ur Rahman in Peshawar on June 27, media reported July 19.
Sub-inspector Javed Akhtar and an assistant sub-inspector Gul Mohammad of the Elite Police Force were recovered after a gun battle with militants in the Spin Khak area of Nowshera District, Geo News reported. Two militants were killed in the encounter.
The two officers went missing when they left for Islamabad to guard Faheem and three associates June 25. The four were later found dead June 27, while the police had been missing since then.
