TASHKENT – Uzbek freestyle wrestler Soslan Tigiyev has lost his 2012 Olympic bronze medal for doping, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported November 7. Tigiyev tested positive for a stimulant, methylhexaneamine.
Tigiyev won his medal in London in the 74kg category. He won both silver and bronze in 2008 in Beijing.
His 2012 bronze medal will go to Hungary’s Gábor Hatos, who finished fourth.
