DUSHANBE – Kazakhstani-Tajik joint counter-terrorism exercises for special forces began November 7 in the Ramit Gorge, 40km east of Dushanbe, CA-News.org reported, quoting the Tajik Defence Ministry press office.
"During the exercises, which end November 18, (the forces) will learn skills for fighting terrorist groups in a mountainous setting," the statement said.
More than 100 Kazakhstani and Tajik troops will participate. Tokhir Kahirullayev, deputy commander of Tajik mobile troops, will lead the exercise.
