KHASAVYURT – A Kazakhstani citizen, another terrorist and their female accomplice November 7 were killed in a special-forces operation in Khasavyurt, media reported.
The Kazakhstani, Vadim Kadymov, and the other two were holed up in an apartment and resisted security forces’ attempt to arrest them, ITAR-TASS reported. One security officer was bruised in the fatal shootout. The authorities found firearms in the apartment.
Kadymov, who also went by the nickname Khamza, called himself the "deputy amir of the Northern Zone" and belonged to a Khasavyurt terrorist group, media outlets reported.
