DUSHANBE – Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan soon will select a route for the intended railway spanning their countries, Avesta.tj October 22 reported Tajik Transport Minister Nizom Khakimov as saying.
Tajikistan has found two possible routes acceptable, but the countries will pick one soon, he said. After making their decision, they will begin lining up investors and lenders, he said. The countries' presidents March 20 in Ashgabat signed a memorandum of understanding on the railway project.
