The bin Laden documents
Some 6,000 documents were seized from bin Laden’s Abbottabad compound on May 2, 2011. On May 3, 2012, 17 documents totaling 175 pages in Arabic and 197 translated into English were released. The articles on this page analyse those documents and report on what they reveal about bin Laden’s thinking and al Qaeda’s strategies in the Afghanistan – Pakistan region.
